Booking Policies
-
To book your event, a $100 deposit is required. The only way to secure your date is to complete your deposit and execute this Agreement.
Your balance is due 7 days before your event date. Failure to pay the balance by 48 hours before your event date will result in automatic cancellation and forfeit of the deposit.
Deposit and final payment can be made through Venmo to @princessquinlinparties or Zelle to (707) 287-1993.
The package price does not include gratuity. Gratuity is not required but it is greatly appreciated and a way for you to let the performer know they did a great job.

Changes to performance time, location, length, activities, and date cannot be guaranteed once an event has been booked. If you need to make changes to your event, please check with Performer to confirm availability before notifying your guests, child, or other vendors. Performer will do their best to accommodate but cannot guarantee.
Rescheduling due to emergency or illness: Client may reschedule their event for 1 time to a new date within 60 days without resulting in a rescheduling fee of 20% of the total. Subject to availability. (Example - birthday child wakes up the morning of the event with a fever and cold. Please notify Performer immediately. Client has 60 days to choose a new event date.)
Rescheduling due to weather: Please notify Performer no later than 8 days before your event date if you need to reschedule due to inclement weather at an outdoor location. Any reschedules made within 8 days of the event date will result in a 20% rescheduling fee. Client may reschedule their event for 1 time to a new date within 60 days. Subject to availability.
Weather: In case of rain or bad weather that would cause Performer to be unable to perform at an outdoor location, it is the responsibility of the client to select an alternate, indoor location and notify Performer via email with at least 2 hours notice from the performance start time. Alternatively, clients have rented enclosed tents with heaters and floors to provide a safe space outdoors during inclement weather. If an alternative location is selected, new travel fees may apply, so please email Performer your rain alternate location at least 3 days in advance in case we need to send a separate invoice.
Rain / Cold Attire: In case of cold or inclement weather, Performer will wear additional costume layers for warmth such as leotards and shawls.
All cancellations will result in a refund minus the deposit of $100 for private parties.
Cancellations or rescheduling within 48 hours of the event and due to any other reason beyond emergency or illness including inclement weather without having an alternative, safe, indoor rain location chosen will result in no refund.
-
Event inquiries received within 7 days of the event date are classified as "last minute".
Any in-person events booked within 7 days of the event date will incur a $50 fee per character.
All booking fees must be paid and Agreement completed a minimum of 3 days before the event date and time.
-
Client will provide a safe location away from smokers and animals. We additionally advise to position performance space away from pools and bounce houses.
If possible, Client will provide a chair for Performer and birthday child, a blanket for the children to sit on, and, if applicable, a table for face painting/makeovers.
Parking, security gates, and Valet - any paid parking is the responsibility of the Client. Please inform Performer of your parking situation, whether that's street parking, permit, meter, security, valet, prepaid, etc. so that Performer can properly time their arrival.
If your event is scheduled at a park or public space, please notify Performer of where in the space you will be holding your party or what kind of decorations the performer should look for. A map is helpful.
We love parties indoors, outdoors, at parks, play spaces, museums, and more! But we cannot perform outdoors in bad weather such as rain, wind storms, extreme heat or cold as this will lead to illness with performers and guests; damage to costumes, wigs, and supplies; as well as an inability of the performers to provide a high energy, engaging performance.
If you plan to hold your event outdoors and hope for the best, please have an indoor back up ready to go. If the characters show up to an event that is outside in bad weather, they'll be unable to perform and no refund will be issued. (Please see “Changes, Rescheduling & Cancellation” for full cancellation and rescheduling policies due to weather).
-
Performers are entertainers and will not discipline disruptive behavior or force children to participate.
At least one adult is required to be present with the children and Performer during the event.
Performer may bring an adult to assist the Performer during the party, at no cost to the Client.
-
Performer will develop the activities with the Client. The following options are available: face painting, storytelling, dancing, live singing, coronation, and/or games. Performer may also be present for cake and the birthday song.
The amount of activities depends on the length of the event. For parties booked for one hour, face painting can only accommodate up to twelve children to ensure quality and timing.
Performer preplans events with the ideal in mind, but understand that working with children requires flexibility.
On the day of the event, Performer may adjust the order of activities or choose a modification in order to best suit the needs of your guests and make the event a success.
-
Client agrees to hold and keep harmless Performer from any and all property damages and/or bodily injury damage caused by the Client’s event attendees.
Client agrees to not hold Performer responsible for inclement weather or other acts that may cause cancellation of the event. (please see rescheduling policy above)
Client must inform Performer of any allergies to items such as face paint prior to the event.
Performer is trained to keep the safety of your guests in mind at all times. If ever there is a situation where Performer feels unsafe, they will address the issue with Client. If the issue is not resolved, Performer will leave without a refund.
Any guests feeling unwell are advised not to attend. Client understands that risk of contagion from events is possible and will not hold Performer responsible.
-
Performer does not take photos at events. If Client takes photos at the event and shares them with Performer via email, text, reviews, or social media, then Performer may share them for marketing purposes.
-
The scheduled appearance time for the Performer is stated in this Agreement. Any time requested by the Client beyond the agreed-upon end time will be considered overtime. Overtime is subject to the Performer’s availability and must be approved at the time of the event.
Overtime will be billed at the rate of $30 per 30 minutes (or portion thereof), payable at the conclusion of the event by cash, Venmo, or other agreed-upon method. If overtime is declined or the Performer is unable to extend their stay, the Performer will depart at the originally scheduled end time.
